What began in 1953 with just three employees has grown over the past seven decades into an internationally active company in the food sector. I.Schroeder KG looks back on more than 70 years of experience and has established itself in that time as a dependable partner for the import and export of food. In this article we would like to give you an insight into our history, our product portfolio and the company philosophy that still drives us today.<\/p>\n
Since its founding<\/a>, I.Schroeder KG has developed steadily. What started as a small family business has become an internationally active operation with a broad network of partners and suppliers. Our early trading relationships with China played a particular role here and helped us open up new markets.<\/p>\n Over the years we have continually expanded our product range. Today we offer more than 600 different <\/strong>product lines<\/strong><\/a>, from preserved foods through to frozen products. Throughout, we have always placed great importance on maintaining our quality and on winning customers over with a varied selection. <\/p>\n Our range covers a broad selection of foods, from exotic fruits and classic vegetables through to vegan mayonnaise. One thing matters above all to us: transparency. What goes into our products counts, and so do the conditions under which they are made. We have been a member of the amfori organisation since 2008 and are actively committed to upholding social and environmental standards across the entire supply chain. As a member of the Sedex platform, we are also connected with more than 38,000 companies in over 150 countries, which allows us to make responsible conduct verifiable. With our products, too, we attach great importance to many of them being organic, MSC or ASC certified<\/a>, so that we actively contribute to sustainability.<\/p>\n Did you know that a large proportion of our products is made directly at our affiliated production sites? At J\u00fctro Tiefk\u00fchlkost<\/a>, everything revolves around processing frozen fruit and vegetables and producing frozen ready meals at the highest convenience level. J\u00fctro Feinkost<\/a> stands for fresh and shelf-stable foods and develops delicatessen articles that match contemporary tastes. Elbak GmbH<\/a> makes sure that more than 150 freshly harvested fruit products are available all year round as though straight from the cold store, in premium organic quality where required.<\/p>\n As a family business we place great importance on long-term relationships with our customers, our partners and our employees.
