Weihnachtsrezept Vegetarisches Pilzragout
20 December 2024

Christmas is drawing closer and the countdown to Christmas Eve has started. Who still has time for hours of preparation in the kitchen? We have the answer: a three-course menu that is quick to prepare, brings a festive touch to the table and uses high-quality products throughout. Take some inspiration and make your Christmas dinner something special with our products.

1. Starter: carrot and ginger soup with a spoonful of soured cream

The perfect way to open the menu. Our carrot and ginger soup from Jütro Feinkost provides comforting warmth and a balanced flavour combination, pairing the natural sweetness of carrots with the gentle heat of ginger. The soup is made from carefully selected organic ingredients that are processed gently straight after harvesting, so that flavour and nutrients are preserved as far as possible. For an extra lift we recommend finishing the soup with a spoonful of soured cream and a scattering of chilli flakes, a combination that looks as good as it tastes.

2. Main course: vegetarian mushroom ragout

The base of our main course is a high-quality vegetable stock. It gives the ragout a deep, savoury foundation and brings out the flavour of the mushrooms beautifully. The wild mushroom mix from Jütro TKK, made up of hand-picked mushrooms, is fried in the pan together with fresh shallots. Cream, herbs and a pinch of seasoning make the dish aromatic and creamy. Served with ribbon pasta, this ragout is quick to make and a highlight for anyone who wants a meat-free but still festive treat. Please note: if you would rather enjoy a meat dish at Christmas, our stock selection has exactly what you need, with everything from vegetable stock to beef stock.

Good to know: our vegetable stocks and mushroom mixes come from sustainable production and are subject to strict quality controls. The wild mushrooms from Jütro TKK are processed gently straight after harvesting so that flavour and freshness are preserved. Modern processing methods such as flash freezing keep the natural cell structure intact, so the mushrooms hold their texture and taste once defrosted.

3. Dessert: vanilla ice cream with hot cherries

A classic to close the menu: vanilla ice cream with hot cherries. The hand-picked cherries from Elbak, processed straight after harvesting, provide a fine balance of sweetness and freshness. The cherries are heated only briefly and spooned over creamy vanilla ice cream, giving you a dessert that is quick to prepare and goes down well with everyone. Side fact: the packaging for Elbak cherries is recyclable and the jars can be reused for all sorts of purposes, which is a genuine bonus.
